The Google Pixel are the first mobile phones on the market to receive the update to Android 11. It is the new version of Google's operating system, where the improvements stand out in the notifications and security section. During these last days we are seeing how manufacturers launch new versions of their customization layers . Samsung is one of the companies that has not yet announced the official arrival of Android 11 and One UI 3.0, its customization layer. But we already know some of the features that will come to Galaxy phones.
Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 3.0 beta, which is currently only available to some users . The new customization layer will work under Android 11 and will feature new design and security features. While the company has not announced all the details, the screenshots shared by those who already have access to the beta reveal some of the functions with complete clarity.
We see that Samsung is making a major change in the design of the notification panel. Now it is cleaner and with a gradient background that changes depending on the 'Wallpaper' that we have on the device. In addition, two new shortcuts 'Devices' and 'Media' are added. The first button would be used as a direct access to connected accessories such as smart lights, TV etc. The second to the playback control of these devices or of the phone itself. For example, the possibility of sending the audio to a Bluetooth speaker or similar.
And speaking of multimedia control, it seems that Samsung has included the design of the Android 11 player in the quick settings bar. Unfortunately this is the first beta and it seems that this option does not work correctly, that is why that strange design that we see in the screenshots.
The company has also added many more customization options. With Android 11 we can choose if we want calls to occupy the entire screen or appear as if they were a notification. It also allows us to choose the background that appears while we are talking. On the other hand, we can customize the style of the lock screen clock and change the colors.
Chat history, privacy improvements, and more
Android 11 news announced by Google are also present. Captures show notification history settings or floating window apps. In addition, there will also be new security options, such as the possibility of choosing whether an app can always use the permissions (location, microphone, camera…) or only once.
Lastly, Samsung's browser will also be updated with more security options, as well as new customization features. For example, we can choose the layout of the recent tabs or quickly paste a link in the browser.
Remember that One UI 3.0 has not been officially announced. We are aware that there are many features to discover, especially focused on the Samsung ecosystem and its own applications. In the first screenshots we only see changes in the Browser and Phone app. In addition to several customization options. Without a doubt, this new interface looks very good.
Samsung could officially announce the new version in the coming weeks. The company usually launches it at the Samsung Developers Conference, which is usually held during the month of October. In the presentation event we will know all the news and the devices that will update to this version.
