At the next MWC in Barcelona, LG will present the evolution of the LG V30. This high-end terminal promises to come with some very interesting features. Among them , the artificial intelligence functions for the camera stand out. A function that, on the other hand, has been confirmed by LG. According to the published information, LG ensures that it has been investigating solutions based on artificial intelligence for more than a year to improve the taking of images with the mobile. These investigations focused on image and speech recognition. The result is two new features that take advantage of artificial intelligence to help the user take pictures with the smartphone.
On the one hand we have Vision AI, a system that analyzes the objects in the image to offer recommendations on the shooting mode. It is something similar to what the Huawei Mate 10 offers. According to LG, this system takes into account several factors, such as viewing angle, color, reflections, lighting or saturation. Once the image has been analyzed, the terminal will recommend which mode, of the eight available, to use to take the photo. The eight available modes that the LG V30s will have are: portrait, food, pet, landscape, city, sunrise, sunset and flowers.
LG claims that more than 100 million images have been used to fine-tune the LG V30s image recognition algorithms. In addition, with Vision AI we can also scan QR codes. Even night photos, which will be automatically enhanced by this system.
Also with the voice
But image recognition won't be the only feature available. LG has also announced the Voice AI feature , which includes exclusive voice commands for Google Assistant. To the 23 commands from last year, new commands will now be added that will arrive together with the LG V30s.
The Korean company already announced last year that they were going to focus their efforts on creating smarter mobiles. In recent years a very high level has been reached in mobile hardware. It seems that it is time to innovate at the software level.
