Bixby debuted on the Samsung Galaxy S8 a year ago. At that time the company assured that it was an initial version that would evolve over time. Recently Bixby 2.0 was announced, but with very few details. In the last hours, new information reveals more data about the assistant, also ensuring that it will be integrated into the next Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
It seems that Samsung's words were not lying. Bixby 2.0, as revealed by Gray G. Lee, director of the AI Center at Samsung Research, will be smarter and faster. In this new version, the company would have placed more emphasis on a more natural language, with the aim that the interaction with Bixby is perfect. As the manager has commented, the assistant will be more prepared to understand you better and, therefore, their response mode will be faster.
In addition, Bixby 2.0 will integrate an improved processing system with greater resistance to noise. In this way, communication will not have so many problems if you are on the street or there is a lot of noise around you. On the other hand, when processing a request you won't have to wait too long. Bixby will respond in a matter of seconds, providing you with the information you have requested.
And when will we get a chance to see Bixby 2.0 in action? The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to be announced next August. In addition to the new version of the virtual assistant, the phablet would have a 6.3-inch infinity screen with a QHD + resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels. Inside there would be room for a Samsung Exynos 9810 processor along with a 6 GB RAM. There is also talk of a possible triple rear camera to improve the quality of the captured images.
