Every day we are closer to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. There are so many leaks that possibly the day of its official presentation does not surprise us. Big screens, a powerful processor and a frameless design are the highlights. But, much more interesting features are expected. Some inherited from previous devices, and we could even say that 'recovered' from other Galaxy models. Next, we tell you six of the ones we look forward to the most.
1 - Iris scanner
This feature was already included in the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, and it seems that the Galaxy S8 will also incorporate it. It is a very simple, and even safer way to unlock your device. Use our iris, which is unique. The unlock way can be faster. Just bringing the terminal to the face would unlock it. A really useful function, and that could not be missing in the Galaxy S8.
2 - Virtual assistant
There has been so much talk about Bixby, the virtual assistant of the Galaxy S8 that we even think it is official. But no. Most likely, the next high-end smartphones from Samsung will incorporate it. According to the latest leaks, Bixby would be smarter than other virtual assistants and would add very interesting extra functions, which are still unknown. We know that it would be based on the Svoice of the previous Galaxy, which worked more or less the same as Siri. Samsung needs to confirm all its news.
3 - Improved cameras
Not much has been said about the Galaxy S8 cameras and their functions, but we expect a huge improvement in terms of technology and resolution. Based on the leaks , we can rule out the double camera on the rear, although in principle, it would incorporate functions worthy of a double sensor and we hope that is the case. As for the front camera, we expect improvements, especially in the quality of it and the inclusion of different sensors for focus, as previously rumored.
4 - Gestures on the fingerprint reader
We already know that the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will incorporate the fingerprint reader on the back, due to the narrow frames on the front. This gives the possibility that the Korean Samsung add different features such as gestures for notifications, double touches etc. Features that will improve the experience with the fingerprint sensor, and that, for some, will compensate for the change in its location.
5 - Virtual reality
It is not surprising that the Galaxy S8 include compatibility with virtual reality, and it seems that the company is going to add different features to improve the experience with this device. We expect a screen with different technologies for the Samsung VR headset and an improved application with different functions. In addition to a new Gear VR, which could come with a special controller.
6 - PC function
This new feature had been talked about long before the waves of leaks started. And it is possibly what we are most waiting for. Through a few simple steps we could connect our Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus to a monitor, and launch a kind of application that will turn your device into computer mode. So we can do different functions, which we would not have on the device, in addition to being able to do them with a larger screen. We do not know many more details, but we know that Samsung will soon make it official.
We will see if the day of their official presentation these functions end up reaching the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, and if they are as we have described. It seems that by the end of March we will know for sure.
