2018 is being a fruitful year for the Chinese mobile phone brand Meizu. If a couple of days ago the CEO of the brand, Jack Wang, announced its new flagship, the Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus, it returns to the attack in the official forum announcing a third of the range, this one, apparently, more modest than the previous ones, called Meizu 16X. At the time of announcing it, he was very careful not to reveal any of its specifications, although he did give some clues in this regard, such as that its screen will be larger than that of its more direct rival, the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE.
September will be the month that Meizu launches this new terminal of which we already have the first rumors and tests, this time thanks to the Geekbench test that has passed, of which we have the following screenshots thanks to GSMARENA. As we can see, the new Meizu 16X will carry inside the Snapdragon 710 high-mid-range processor (the same one that includes the previously mentioned Xiaomi Mi 8 SE). What does the Snapragon 710 offer that can make this new terminal attractive?
The Snapdragon 710 is the first Qualcomm processor of its new mid-range that, apparently, aims to improve the experience of the current 600 range, omnipresent in many Xiaomi terminals. The brand, however, has assured that it will not give up the 600 line and that it will live in time with the 700. The main improvement of this Snapdragon 710, with eight cores, is that it carries an Artificial Intelligence engine, capable to deliver twice the performance, in addition to being able to capture more light in low-light photos and better support facial unlocking.
To this processor we have to add no less than 6 GB of RAM to be able to run, simultaneously, numerous applications that demand a certain performance from the phone. Plus, it will come out of the box running Android 8.1 Oreo. We will have to wait until next month to see if, indeed, these specifications are real, and thus have a more complete vision of the new Meizu 16X. Will it be worth the outlay? We will continue to inform about it.
