Exactly yesterday, June 13, we were informing about what the imminent departure of the new Huawei Mate X looked like, the first folding terminal of the Huawei brand and the second in history to have this particular format. This was what it seemed to indicate when obtaining the appropriate certification in China to be able to go on sale, the triple C. From this certification we could have the data of the inclusion of 5G technology in it in addition to a super fast charge of 55W. Well, apparently, his departure is no longer so imminent.
Nothing from Huawei Mate X until, at least, September
The Chinese company has delayed the appearance of the new Huawei Mate X, initially scheduled for this June until next September, without providing additional information on the causes that have led to said delay. The exit has been canceled just as tests of use were being carried out. It is speculated that the delay may have been due to the case of the Samsung Galaxy Fold, Samsung's folding mobile that, before going on sale, was tested by numerous technology media, finding several errors on the screen that made it practically unusable. The Samsung Galaxy Fold, for its part, continues to be continuously delayed, without knowing, for sure, when we can definitely see it in action.
On the other hand, it is speculated that President Trump's blockade of the Chinese company could also be causing a delay in certain products that are to come, such as this Huawei Mate X. For example, the Huawei Matebook line of laptops has postponed its exit, indefinitely, in the United States due to said blockade. Huawei's laptop uses Intel-branded processors and Microsoft's Windows 10 operating system, and both companies are banned from any commercial relationship with the Asian giant. Another famous case has been that of Honor 20, a brand of exclusive terminals for sale online and owned by Huawei, which was announced in the United States without Android certification and its official presentation also postponed.
Possible features of the Huawei Mate X
The new Huawei Mate X will have a large 8-inch screen in unfolded mode with 2200 x 2480 resolution and inside we can find the Kirin 980 processor manufactured in 7 nanometers by Huawei itself. This processor will be accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. And the photographic section? Well, we will have a triple sensor (unique, this combo is used for the front camera as it is a folding screen) 40 + 8 + 16 + TOF camera, composed of a wide-angle, telephoto and ultra-wide angle, all manufactured by the Leica house.
The battery that this Huawei Mate X will bring will go up to 4,500 mAh, it will incorporate a 55W fast charge in addition to being able to connect to the new 5G bands that will reach 15 cities in our country from June 15. The price, how could it be otherwise, will be quite bulky and, although the exact figure is not known, rumors suggest that it will be around 2,300 euros. It will not be until next September, if it is not delayed again, when we finally get rid of doubts regarding the new Huawei Mate X, Huawei's folding mobile.
