The update to Android 9 Pie by phone manufacturers is taking longer than normal. After the release of the latest version of the green android system, it was only a few devices that were updated to the latest piece of cake from Google. With the start of the new year, brands like Samsung have decided to finally launch Android 9.0 for their devices. Weeks ago we saw how the Galaxy Note 9 was updated to Android Pie. This time it is the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 that receives the latest version through the first official beta launched by Samsung.
So you can update your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to Android 9 Pie with One UI with the official beta
It was this morning when the company launched its new beta program for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. As is usual, access to the program is restricted only to users who have registered as beta testers through the application. Samsung Members.
To access the aforementioned program, the first thing we will have to do is download the Samsung Members application through the Galaxy Apps store or the Play Store. Then, we must log in with our Samsung account and an interface similar to this one will automatically appear:
Next we will go to the Notices or Notifications section and we will give the option of One UI Beta Program Registration. We will send the app and automatically enter the admission process for the Android 9 Pie beta for the Galaxy Note 8.
Once we have been accepted (a notification will appear at the top of the screen), we will go to the Settings section of the same application and click on the Update Software button.
Finally we will give Manual Download and now, our terminal will begin to update to the latest beta version available
What's new in Android 9 Pie with One UI for the Galaxy Note 8
Among the main novelties of One UI under Android 9, we find the following:
- Android dock update to Android 9 Pie
- New interface based on One UI (renewed applications, native night mode, elements moved to the bottom of the screen, interface adapted to one hand, redesigned multitasking, navigation using gestures…)
- Interactive notifications (we can answer directly through the notification panel)
- New Emotives based on Unicode 11.0
- New adaptive themes for the keyboard that change color depending on the color of the app
- Floating keyboard if the app allows it
It should be added that it is a test version, which is why some of the included functions may not work correctly. Samsung is expected to add more to the list in future updates.
