There are still a few months until the next iPhone hits the market. But we already know that everything the apple manufacturer does raises a lot of expectations, so the rumors and leaks about the device do not stop. Today new details have been given about the possible design and the photographic set of what, for now, we know as the iPhone XI. In addition to confirming the triple rear camera, the information published speaks about a substantial improvement at the level of image processing. In addition, the use of the notch is reconfirmed, albeit with minor design changes. We are going to tell you the details of this latest leak.
The information has been released by a well-known YouTube channel called EverythingApple. In addition to talking about the new features of the iPhone, they have also discussed some details about iOS 13. We will know the latter before the new device, as it will be presented at WWDC next month.
There will be no revolution in design
Regarding the design of the possible iPhone XI, today's information confirms a model with a 5.8-inch screen and another with a 6.5-inch screen. That is, there would be no changes compared to this year. Unfortunately, the notch looks like it will once again be the protagonist of the front. In addition, it does not seem that it will vary in size and shape. It is a strange decision on Apple's part considering that its competition on Android is already using the “all screen” format.
However, the leaked information ensures that the Face ID system will receive great improvements. For example, it will be able to detect the face from multiple wider angles. In addition, it will work in shorter distances, which could solve the problem of unlocking when we are lying in bed that we detect in the iPhone Xs.
To slightly disguise the "old notch," it appears the new iPhones will have a subtle matte glass coating. In addition, the stainless steel side frames will be less shiny, thus combining better with the new finish. They will also improve the stereo speakers substantially, at least that is what the latest published rumors assure.
Triple rear camera practically confirmed
Everything is possible, but in recent years not even Apple has been able to surprise us in their presentations. All the information leaked before the presentation (and especially in the weeks leading up to the presentation) has turned out to be true. And this year everything points to the iPhone XI (if it is finally called that) will have a triple rear camera. This will be composed of a main lens, a telephoto lens and a 120º super wide angle. The first rumors spoke of the possibility that the apple manufacturer included optical stabilization (OIS) in the most angular lens, something rare, but it seems that we will not see it this year. So, just like now, optical stabilization will be available only for the main lens and telephoto lens.
Another novelty at the photographic level seems to be a new flash. This will be much brighter to illuminate a larger area, although it will maintain its current size. On the other hand, the camera bump is expected to be much more inconspicuous than current models.
But Google has shown that sensors are not as important as they seem. A good image processing can make a mobile camera go from being a bunch to being a reference. So Apple could be working intensively on its processing software. At the moment the rumors speak of a very large improvement in the Smart HDR function that the iPhone released last year.
Expected improvements in iOS 13
Specialists in Apple's news say that iOS 13 will be a great revolution. Although it is true that the great improvement is expected on the iPad, we assume that the iPhone will also receive major changes.
For example, we know that iOS 13 will feature the requested Dark Mode. However, it seems that Apple has opted for a dark gray color rather than a deep black that takes better advantage of OLED technology.
On the other hand, it seems that iOS 13 will be able to learn from user behavior to better manage the device's RAM. The system will preload frequently used applications to speed up device operation.
For now we will have to wait to find out if all this information is correct or not. As we mentioned, iOS 13 will be presented next month, while the new iPhone XI is not expected until September.
