It is confirmed. The Sony Xperia XZ4 will be presented at an event during the MWC on February 25 in Barcelona. Or at least that suggests the large number of leaks that have been taking place in recent days. Sony has confirmed an event for the aforementioned day, but which models we will see there have not yet been confirmed. However, today images of what could be the Sony Xperia XZ4 have reappeared. Also, this time they seem more real than ever.
Sony continues to insist on the mobile market. Last year the Sony Xperia XZ3 received quite positive reviews from the media, but it seems that it failed to attract public attention. In 2019 the company will try again with the Sony Xperia XZ4 as the spearhead. And, from what we have seen, it seems it will be a very interesting terminal. Today's images come from case maker Olixar and show the device in all its glory.
Triple camera and single frame
What do we see in these images? Well, more or less what had already been commented on the terminal. It seems that the star feature of this year will be the triple rear camera. We don't know which option Sony will take, but if it follows the market trend, it could go for a wide-angle sensor.
On the other hand, the images show a rather striking design change compared to its predecessor. We have a large screen without a notch. However, it seems that Sony is not convinced by the solution of the hole in the screen, so a small upper frame is kept for the front camera. At the bottom we don't have any kind of frame, which is great news.
The other thing that the image clearly shows us is that the fingerprint reader is not on the back. However, in the case we can see a small hole in one of the sides, which makes us think that Sony will return to its fingerprint reader under the terminal. It's a great option, but it would have been quite a hit on the table to see a fingerprint reader under the screen.
For the rest, rumors point to a Snapdragon 855 processor with 6 GB of RAM. We do not know the size of the screen, but it has been said that the supplier of the panel is LG, so we could be talking about an OLED panel.
Finally, what does seem definitive is the elimination of the 3.5 mm jack connector for the headphones. For now we will have to wait for the MWC to learn more about the Sony Xperia XZ4.
