The Korean brand Samsung wants to compete face to face in the difficult sector of the mid-range of telephony with the landing of a new series, the Samsung Galaxy M, which will come to replace its old Samsung Galaxy J and Samsung Galaxy One. They will first land in India with four different models, Samsung Galaxy M10, Samsung Galaxy m20, Samsung Galaxy M30 and Samsung Galaxy M40. Now the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy M20 come to light thanks to a leak in its user manual. This is the most interesting thing that has transpired about this new Samsung Galaxy M20 that promises to give a lot of war at a fairly competitive price.
Great battery
The first thing that stands out in this new Samsung mid-range is its huge battery. Samsung has decided to pay attention to those users who demanded greater autonomy in their terminals by adding a 5,000 mAh battery. With this battery we will be able to get to the day, day and a half, with regular use, without any problems. If you are one of those who walk all day with the mobile on, we can reach the whole day comfortably. Only before did we see a battery with similar characteristics in a Samsung terminal. It was on the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro, launched in May 2016.
Now let's talk about the design section. This Samsung Galaxy M20 will be a large terminal, with total dimensions of 156.4 x 75.5 x 8.8 millimeters and a weight of 183 grams. We are facing a somewhat heavy terminal, but it is understood when we know that it needs to carry a large battery, necessary, in addition, to power its 6.3-inch screen (with a drop-shaped notch) and be efficient throughout throughout the day. The panel will be LCD (we do not have Super Amoled here, sorry for fans of this type of technology) and will have a Full HD + resolution of 2340 × 1080.
Wide angle
What about performance? We have a great screen, a great battery… and we will need, of course, a great processor so that all this works smoothly, without cuts or delays. We can find inside this terminal the processor of the house Exynos 7885. It is the same processor that we have seen in previous terminals of the brand, such as the Samsung Galaxy A8, and has 8 cores that can reach a clock speed 2 Ghz maximum. It will be accompanied by 3 GB of RAM (because somewhere it has to be noted that we are talking about a mid-range) and 32 GB of internal storage, which can be increased with the insertion of an external microSD card. However, seeing the performance offered in the Samsung Galaxy A8, we can have enough with the power offered.
Now it's the cameras' turn. We will have, how could it be otherwise in a terminal that will appear in 2019, with a double main camera of 13 megapixels (focal aperture 1.9) and 5 megapixels (focal aperture 2.2). This last sensor will have a wide angle lens so that we cover more space when we take our photographs.
Finally, add that this terminal will come with a USB Type-C connection, something unexpected considering the price range that we move. Of course, we will have to settle for having Android 8 Oreo installed instead of the latest official version of Google's operating system.
This terminal will go on sale on January 28 and its price is expected to be around 200 euros.
