A new Samsung mobile joins the Galaxy A series. We refer to the Samsung Galaxy A80, a terminal that according to the latest rumors will be presented tomorrow with the Samsung Galaxy A90, the company's first mobile with a retractable and rotating camera. The new terminal joins the list of mid-range and low-end mobiles that the manufacturer had presented in recent months. Currently we can find up to six different devices, the Samsung Galaxy A10, the Galaxy A20, the Galaxy A30, the Galaxy A40, the Galaxy A50 and the Galaxy A70. This Galaxy A80 will come between the Galaxy A70 and the Galaxy A90 in terms of technical characteristics.
Samsung Galaxy A80: Snapdragon 600 series processor and 8GB of RAM
The different rumors about the Galaxy A80 and Galaxy A90 place the presentation of the two terminals tomorrow at a dedicated event. While the latter we already know practically all its specifications, the former we barely knew data regarding its characteristics.
The latest leak via the Geekbench page suggests a configuration very similar to the Galaxy A70. In summary, we are facing a terminal that mounts an eight-core Snapdragon 675 processor and up to 8 GB of RAM in its base configuration. Of course, it will come with the latest version of Android 9 Pie, and everything indicates that it will start from the 128 GB of internal storage, although there is still nothing confirmed at the moment.
Regarding the design of the terminal, there are few novelties that we expect compared to other members of the A series. A notch in the shape of a drop of water and a screen of around 6.2 inches that will occupy about 90% of the total surface ratio. Regarding the photographic section of the Galaxy A80, it is expected that the phone has a camera configuration similar to that of the Galaxy A70, with three independent sensors of 32, 8 and 5 megapixels with wide-angle and telephoto lenses.
For the rest, it is expected to integrate a battery with a capacity greater than 4,000 mAh, fast charging and a fingerprint sensor integrated in the screen. The price, much to our regret, could exceed the psychological barrier of 400 euros. We will have to wait until tomorrow to confirm it, although everything indicates that we will not see something very different from what we have just mentioned.
