Having spent only a few weeks since the official presentation of the LG G3, a new leak has revealed what appear to be the technical specifications of the compact version of this mobile from the South Korean manufacturer LG. If this information is confirmed, we would be facing the characteristics of a new LG G3 Mini. It would be a terminal that would incorporate a smaller size than the LG G3, as well as a probably somewhat tighter price for users looking for a somewhat more affordable mobile.
According to these first information, the LG G3 Mini would be presented with a 4.5-inch screen (notably far from the 5.5-inch of the LG G3) whose resolution has not been mentioned in the leak. Inside we would find a quad- core processor that would operate at a clock speed of 1.2 GHz. The internal storage capacity, probably accompanied by the traditional microSD slot, would be set at 8 GigaBytes. The main camera would incorporate a five megapixel sensor. And finally, we have also been able to know that the battery would come with a capacity set at 2,100 milliamps.
Assuming that this information is true, we are facing technical specifications that mark an important difference compared to the LG G3. While in this Flagship the processor achieves a clock speed of 2.5 GHz together with a memory RAM of two gigabytes, the compact version reduces the clock speed to 1.2 GHz and, although not mentioned in the filter, most likely also reduces the capacity of the RAM memory up to 1 GigaByte. Or at least that is what we are used to in mid-range mobiles from large manufacturers.
Another of the big changes between the LG G3 and the LG G3 Mini would reside in the multimedia aspect. The main camera, now 13 megapixels and accompanied by modern technology focus-laser, would be replaced by a conventional camera so only five megapixels. Although this detail should not be surprised that the LG G2 Mini also was a noticeable difference in the main chamber: the 13 megapixel camera of the LG G2 spent the eight megapixels without optical stabilizer.
At the moment we must be prudent when interpreting this information until there is an official confirmation from LG. Since that probably will not happen until after a few weeks -or even months-, we must be attentive to the rumors that will appear soon in relation to this new LG G3 Mini. Taking into account the time that passed between the presentation of the LG G2 and the LG G2 Mini, it is most likely that we will have to wait until August or even September to receive some kind of official information in relation to this new compact smartphone.
