The Taiwanese company HTC has starred in a new leak in which the specifications of a new version of the HTC Butterfly have been released. As indicated by the leak, this new HTC Butterfly 2 will incorporate specifications very similar to those that we can currently find in the flagship of this manufacturer, the HTC One M8. Therefore, we would be talking about a high-end mobile that could reach stores in a matter of months.
The first information on the HTC Butterfly 2 suggest that this smartphone will incorporate standard screen five inches with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Both the processor and the capacity of the RAM memory would be identical in specifications to those that we can find in the flagship of this company (four cores at 2.3 GHz and 2 GigaBytes, respectively). The internal memory capacity would be established at 16 GigaBytes.
Of course, it is also likely that there are small differences compared to the HTC One M8, and one of them will be that the case will not be metallic but will be made of plastic. In addition, the main chamber of the HTC Butterfly 2 could also be completely different from the camera of the HTC One M8 (four megapixels with Ultrapixel and double-chamber) as rumors suggest would be a conventional camera would incorporate a sensor 13 megapixels. The front camera would remain intact and continue incorporating a sensor five megapixel.
Unfortunately for European users, the same leaks that have released these specifications have also indicated that the HTC Butterfly 2 will be a terminal reserved only for the Asian market. Perhaps we could even be talking about the much-mentioned economic version of the HTC One M8, which has been around the network for several weeks in the form of rumors that -for the moment- have no official confirmation behind.
Even taking into account that the availability of the HTC Butterfly 2 could be limited solely and exclusively to the European market, it should be noted that the price of this terminal could be set in a range of between 400 and 500 euros, which would be a much more affordable price compared to the more than 600 that the HTC One M8 currently costs.
We will have to wait a few weeks to finally meet the inexpensive companion of the HTC One M8. What seems to be more than confirmed is that, sooner or later, HTC will launch an economical version of its current flagship. After all, there are many users who would be willing to give up details such as -for example- the metal case in order to pay less for a mobile that incorporates the same specifications and the same quality guarantee from one of the most important manufacturers of the sector that already managed to carve out a niche in history with the launch of the HTC One.
