Once again the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 reappears on the scene. The phone has been filtered again, this time with more precise details of its possible characteristics. This new device would succeed the Xiaomi Redmi Pro, launched last year. As we can read in GizmoChina, unlike its predecessor, it would have an LCD panel manufactured by TCL. The Redmi Pro hit the market with an OLED screen. There are no details of its size, although it could continue to offer a 5.5-inch screen and Full HD resolution.
Regarding the design, there is no data at the moment. In any case, it is expected to look very similar to the Redmi Pro: metallic finish with a reduction in the size of the screen frames quite important. The fingerprint reader could still be located on the home button instead of on the back. As is usual in Xiaomi mobiles, it would not have large dimensions, so it is expected thin and light.
Processor and camera
Everything indicates that the new Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 would arrive powered by a Qualcomm processor instead of MediaTek. There is talk of a Snapdragon 660, which would be accompanied by 3 GB of RAM. There could be several versions, depending on the internal storage capacity. Regarding the photographic section, GizmoChina has revealed that the Redmi Pro 2 could have a 12 megapixel main sensor ( Sony IMX362) and a 5 megapixel secondary sensor (Samsung S5K4E8). The device has also been leaked with a 16-megapixel Samsung S5K3P8 front sensor. We will have to wait for your presentation to find out.
And what more data do we have? Few more really. The same source has also reported their possible connections. There is no mention of a USB type C port, which its predecessor does have. WiFi, Bluetooth, accelerometer and gyroscope are mentioned. We assume, however, that you could have this type of port, in addition to GPS, 4G or NFC. We think that the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 could be unveiled very soon. Its predecessor was announced in July of last year, so the company could repeat a month with this new model.
