A few days after the official announcement of the Honor 9, much of its technical specifications have been leaked in a promotion published ahead of time by mistake on Weibo.
The information that has been released confirms some of the rumors that circulated on the Internet, and that they were based on the characteristics of the previous model, the Honor 8.
What do we know about the Honor 9 so far?
Honor, the second brand of the Chinese company Huawei, will renew its flagship mobile in the coming days. The new Honor 9 will feature a 2.5D curved glass screen. Screen size and resolution have not yet been confirmed.
In this sense, rumors point to a 5.15-inch panel and Full HD resolution (1080p), but we will have to wait for the official launch to confirm it.
Inside the terminal we would find a Kirin 960 processor and a 3100 mAh battery. As for the operating system, the Honor 9 would come standard with Android 7 Nougat. In any case, in the future it would be updated to Android 8.
In terms of RAM, there will be two versions available: one with 6 GB and another cheaper version with 4 GB of RAM.
The first estimates on the price speak of about 320 euros for the basic version. This seems, however, a low amount as an entry price. Prices are likely to be around $ 400 for the 4GB model and perhaps $ 450 for the 6GB model.
The expected dual camera of the Honor 9
Without a doubt, the star feature to be expected on the Honor 9 is the main camera. It is a dual camera, 12 + 20 megapixels.
The front camera is still a great unknown, and there are many rumors with different theories. If we take the Honor 8 or Huawei P10 as a reference, we would expect an 8 megapixel selfie lens.
However, Huawei has already opted for higher resolutions in other models. The Huawei Nova 2, for example, has a 20-megapixel front camera.
Honor 9 availability
The Huawei brand has confirmed a few days ago that the Honor 9 will go on sale in the Chinese market on June 17.
Rumors point to June 27 as a possible arrival date for other markets. For its part, the company has not confirmed any official date outside of China.
