Xiaomi's eagerness to present numerous terminals throughout the year is well known. Beyond its entry-level or mid-range mobiles, the one that presides over the phone catalog is the Xiaomi Mi 8. This terminal was launched during the month of May 2018. With the beginning of the year, the first rumors about the new Xiaomi devices begin to resonate. Weeks ago we saw some leaks related to the presentation of a new Xiaomi Redmi during this year's Mobile World Congress. Some aspects to highlight are the reduction in the size of the notch, which would have a more advanced facial unlocking technology than the of its predecessor and the implementation of three cameras. Nothing is known about the latter, however, it is to be expected that they have a series of characteristics very similar to those of the Galaxy S10. RGB sensors, with telephoto lenses and ToF could be the basis of what is supposed to make up your photographic section.
And what about its technical characteristics? Some rumors - and logic - suggest that it will come with the latest of the latest. Snapdragon 855 processor, 6, 8 and 10 GB of RAM and a storage capacity that could range around 128, 256 and 512 GB. In addition, it will come with a 3,700 mAh battery with fast charging and a fingerprint sensor built into the screen.

The latter could release the new ultrasound unlocking technology, which aims to be faster, more accurate and with a larger area of recognition than that implemented in the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro. Regarding price and availability, it is expected that they will be similar to those of the Mi 8, which means that it will not be until the second half of the year when the terminal arrives in Europe.
