The LG G8 ThinQ will be one of the great mobiles that will debut at the next Mobile World Congress later this month. The latest data suggest that it would not be a relatively cheap mobile, at least in the US market. A Reddit user has leaked the price of the terminal, with a value that could be around 900 US dollars (850 euros at the change) with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Keep in mind that its predecessor, the LG G7 ThinQ, landed in the United States last year at $ 750 (about 670 euros at the exchange rate). Although it was a terminal with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of space, it is undeniable that the price increase is considerable.
In Spain, the LG G7 ThinQ was put on sale at a price of 850 euros, almost 100 euros more expensive than in the United States. This means that this year we would have to pay almost 1,000 euros to acquire the LG G8 with 128 GB. In any case, another cheaper model with 64 GB is expected. It should not be forgotten either that the company usually launches promotions to incentivize the sales of its flagship. Those who pre-bought the LG G7 in 2018 got a 43-inch LG 4K UHD Smart TV totally free.
According to the leaks, the LG G8 ThinQ would arrive with a notch at the top and with hardly the presence of frames. It could also include a screen slightly curved around the edges. Its asset would be its front camera for facial recognition. According to rumors, it would integrate a technology known as ToF, similar to the one Sony uses in its devices to scan objects around it in 3D.
Among other features included could be a 6.1-inch panel with a 19.5: 9 ratio, as well as a Snapdragon 855 processor, the latest beast from Qualcomm. It would also be one of the first mobiles to include a 5G connection. There would be a 5,000 mAh battery, we imagine that with fast charging and wireless charging. There is very little left to find out. The LG G8 ThinQ will be present at the end of February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
