It looks like Samsung's Galaxy A family will continue to grow this year. Yes, although we are already in December, everything indicates that Samsung will present a new terminal in China next Monday. But, as often happens, before the official launch, images and technical data of the device have been leaked. Many of the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy A8s have appeared on the official TENAA website, along with some images of the mobile.
In addition to seeing its design, which is very reminiscent of the S series, we have learned about some of its characteristics. For example, we know that it will have a 6.39-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels. It seems that Samsung would have decided not to use its usual Super AMOLED panels in this model. However, it does appear that it will be the first phone from the Korean manufacturer to arrive with the rumored Infinity-O Display. What is special about this screen? Inside the Samsung Galaxy A8s we have an eight-core processor, four running at 2.2 GHz and another four at 1.7 GHz. According to some leaks, it could be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710. This would be accompanied by 6 or 8 GB of RAM, depending on the version, and by 128 GB of internal storage.
Triple rear camera
The images and the technical sheet leaked on TENAA also confirm the triple rear camera. It has a 24 megapixel sensor, another 5 megapixel sensor and a third 10 megapixel sensor. All of them are placed on a single support and with an LED flash located under the assembly.
The fingerprint scanner is on the back, right in the center. And in front we have the aforementioned drop-shaped camera, with a 24-megapixel sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy A8s will come with Android 8.1 as standard and a 3,300 mAh battery. In terms of materials, we assume that it will have a glass back, but it is to be confirmed. Also to be confirmed are the colors, although we sure have several options to choose from. Finally, we know that the dimensions of the terminal will be 158.4 x 74.9 x 7.4 millimeters, with a weight of 173 grams.
