Two days ago, official renders of the Samsung Galaxy View 2 revealed its design along with some of its specifications. Now, thanks to the US operator AT&T, we can learn more about this device. Specifically, the operator has published a video that reveals some of its characteristics. From the looks of it, the tablet has been designed to be a bit more compact compared to its predecessor. The original Galaxy View had an 18.4-inch screen, and even an integrated handle for easy portability, which is not present on the new model.
The Galaxy View 2 would have a smaller screen, 17.3 inches with Full HD resolution, and would wear a more original design. The highlight of this one: the circular hole hinge. It is not very clear what this hole would do, possibly for transporting it, passing cables, or perhaps as a panel protector if the pedestal bends. Described in the video as a "mobile TV" connected to 4G LTE, the tablet would include a dedicated television mode. This would allow users to quickly access DirecTV Now, AT & T's online TV streaming service. In addition, it would also equip four speakers with Dolby Atmos technology for a “cinema sound” experience. Android applications could be used in both portrait and landscape mode.
The AT&T leak has revealed that its NumberSync service would be compatible with this Galaxy View 2. This would allow users to make and receive calls on the device. To all this we must add a 12,000 mAh battery, perfect to spend long hours working with it anywhere without having to plug it in to charge it. Regarding its power and performance, the Galaxy View 2 would be powered by an Exynos 7885 processor, accompanied by 3 GB of RAM, as well as 64 GB of internal storage (with the possibility of expanding through microSD cards of up to 400 GB).
The American operator takes the tablet as official, although it has not provided prices or availability date. We do not know if Samsung will give it a greater prominence and will make a more obvious announcement to present it in society. We will be very aware to give you this information as soon as we know it.
