EMUI 9.1 has not finished being deployed on compatible Huawei and Honor mobiles and talk is already beginning of EMUI 10, the new version of Huawei's customization layer that will arrive under the Android Q base. of compatible phones with EMUI 10. this time is through a software test by which we can know some of the main features of Android Q EMUI 10 under.
This is EMUI 10 with Android Q on Huawei and Honor phones
If EMUI in its version 9.1 was an improvement in terms of functions and interface, EMUI 10 comes to complete what the new update brings with some characteristics of Android Q and Huawei's customization layer.
As we can see in the screenshots of EMUI 10, the improvements introduced by the company in terms of interface are rather scarce. In fact, the only change reported from Huawei Central is the redesign of the Weather application, added to the renewal of the system animations and the fluidity when opening applications.
The notification panel has also undergone a slight redesign, with greater transparency in the background and somewhat grayer colors for the disabled options. If we move to the Camera application, here Huawei has included a multitude of changes that range from redesigning the options and photography modes to the operation of the zoom. In addition, new image filters have been added that are applied in real time.
The latest news that EMUI 10 brings and that inherits directly from Android Q has to do with security and privacy. Now we can configure from the EMUI Settings themselves the maximum time of use of the application permissions, in such a way that we can grant a certain permission to an application for a limited period of time, which can be forever, never or only while the application is in use. Location, camera, call permission…
Finally, it should be mentioned that the version of EMUI 10 that is currently public to test with a compatible mobile is in the testing phase, so it is not ruled out that new functions will be added over time. At the moment we do not have an official release date, so we will have to wait for Huawei to provide the official update calendar.
