The Japanese company Sony currently has two tablets that can be achieved in Spain: the Sony Tablet S and Sony Tablet P. The first one, with a screen size of almost 10 inches, could have its successor just around the corner. Furthermore, images of the future Sony Xperia Tablet have been leaked, which would continue the line of smartphones that the Japanese manufacturer is managing to position as one of the most interesting options on the current market.
At the beginning of this month of August we echoed a news that put all lovers of this technological sector on alert: Sony could renew its range of Android-based touch tablets in September. And it is that possibly the Sony Tablet S model, the Sony touch screen with a larger size could have its successor shortly. Moreover, images of its possible design were shown.
Among the information that was leaked, it could be seen that the design would continue to be similar to the one currently used by Sony Tablet S but with a less pronounced rear stand and making transport more enjoyable. In addition, it was suggested that one of the possible accessories that would be included in the presentation is a cover that would also function as a keyboard and turn it into a laptop for the most intensive clients.
But now more images of the future chassis of this Sony Xperia Tablet have been revealed. First of all, the logo of the Xperia range would be present; that is, the company would try to start unifying smartphones and tablets in a single range. On the other hand, it is confirmed that its rear lectern will no longer have so much inclination and only space will be left to place some physical buttons or input ports to connect different external peripherals such as a keyboard or external memories. In the current case, the lectern reaches more than half of the rear shell. In this Sony Xperia Tablet, the small step will not exceed 20 percent of the rear design.
Meanwhile, its back seems to be being modernized and will acquire two shades: one in aluminum that will predominate on the back, leaving a black stripe at the top where the camera would be housed, supposedly It could reach a maximum resolution of eight Megapixels and that, at a minimum, could record videos in high definition 720p.
On the other hand, its front part would remain the same; that is to say, a completely multi-touch panel from which to handle all the icons, although with a slight increase in size: it would go from 9.4 inches to 9.8 inches diagonally. Also, in the photographic part you can find a front camera that, according to rumors launched by Unwired View , should be of a mega-pixel resolution to make video calls. For its part, the operating system that will continue to predominate at Sony is Android, as with its entire range of smartphones . However, although it is committed to a presentation with Android 4.0, the possibility of finding Android 4.1 installed would not be ruled out.
Finally, inside you could see a quad-core processor signed by the company NVIDIA and under the Tegra 3 platform. Of course, at the moment it has not been possible to know at what frequency it could work. Of course, it should be available next September at a price that would start from 450 dollars (about 370 euros at the current change) and there would be versions of 16, 32 and 64 GB of internal memory.
