Since the impending blockade of Huawei by the United States government was announced, there is not a day that the Asian company is not in the news. The latter, unsurprisingly, is still against him. To all the companies that have turned their backs on the manufacturer, such as Google, Intel or ARM, the SD Association is now joining, the entity that brings together the brands that have permission to use SD cards, and therefore, also microSD.
If we take a look at the list of members that was last month in the SD Association and the one that exists now (image below), you can see that there is a major change: Huawei does not appear. This means that if a brand is not a member of this association, it is totally unable to include this type of memory card in its devices. But the problem goes even further. Besides not being able to manufacture them, it is not possible to market them either. This leaves Huawei in a very delicate role in the market, since all its mobiles have a microSD card slot, except for the P30 and Mate 20, which use the new type of NM Card memory card.
With each passing minute things are getting more and more complicated for Huawei. And, in addition to everything we have already known, it is likely that you will have serious problems when it comes to selling your devices with microSD from now on. It is possible that before this barrage of news you are wondering what will happen from now on with your Huawei mobile, in case you have one in your possession.
It should be noted that everything will remain as it is until now until August 19, the day on which the company's veto starts. As of this moment, the future of Huawei is quite uncertain, although we think that they will have to take an important solution and report before then. We will be very pending to give you new details that happen. It seems that far from stopping, everything continues to go against the Asian firm.
