Last August, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was launched, Samsung's flagship that has a large 4,000 mAh battery, a huge 6.4-inch screen and an updated S-Pen with Bluetooth technology. Well, shortly after the first users could take the first photos with the terminal, something unexpected happened. Once they pressed the shutter, the image on the phone would freeze, without being able to do anything about it. This was reported in different official Samsung forums. And not only this, they also ensured that they suffered a great delay when recording videos.
A camera issue affecting models with Snapdragon
The problem, yes, only affects the owners of the terminal that has the Snapdragon processor inside. In case you didn't know, Samsung regularly launches its phones with two types of processors, depending on the place of sale. Generally, Samsungs with a Snapdragon processor are sold in the United States, with Samsung's own Exynos processor being the one that carries the rest of the phones. There are no reports of users with a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Exynos processor who have claimed some kind of failure in this regard.
Users in the United States also ensure that not only the camera application fails, but also the applications that use the application to function, such as Instagram or WhatsApp. The message, in the latter case, is simple, 'camera failure' to then close automatically. A momentary solution to the error, as mentioned by some forum users, could be to clear the system partition cache, something that many users do not know how to do. The problem, however, reappeared in affected users and even subsequent updates have not been able to fix the problem.
This is a persistent bug that has drawn numerous complaints from Samsung's own users. We are talking about a terminal that exceeds 1,000 euros. At the moment, the only thing that seems certain is that the Korean firm is working on a solution to this problem but there are no official statements about it yet. The only thing left is to hope that it is fixed as soon as possible and users can once again enjoy their terminals one hundred percent.
How is the camera of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9?
Without a doubt, the price of this Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is high for many reasons and the camera, obviously, is one of them. One of the main attractions of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 camera is its dual aperture. That is, we can open the diaphragm of the camera more or less depending on the light in the environment that we want to photograph. This makes it possible to take night photos without the annoying grain or noise that we usually see in photos taken with other mobiles. Specifically, the camera goes from aperture 1.5 to 2.4. This change, in addition, is automatic, the user only has to bother to shoot and the camera will adapt the aperture to the scene.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 camera consists of two 12 megapixel lenses and a 2x optical zoom. On the one hand, we have a telephoto lens to be able to take sharp photos of objects that are far from us and, on the other, a wide angle to be able to take a greater amount of scene. Together they achieve what we call 'portrait effect', that is, a close-up portrait with a blurred background.
We hope this camera issue will be fixed soon and users of this phone can enjoy it soon.
