From the Korean Samsung they have proposed to touch the noses of fans of the iPhone 4S in the latest ad they have dedicated to the Samsung Galaxy S2. At the doors of several stores, in San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, Chicago or Denver, with a clear aesthetic charge that refers to the Apple Store, several groups of boys are queuing, apparently to get one of the products it sells before anyone else. Without talking about the iPhone 4S, some groups dive into the Internet investigating what the product they seem to be waiting for will have.
"Will it have 4G?" asks one of them. “It doesn't say anything about 4G here,” another responds. "Man, it looks the same," adds another in line. While some breastfeed saying that they could wait three weeks in line, others leave when "there are only nine hours" before the device is put on sale. But then something happens.
Someone stands in front of the line with a Samsung Galaxy S2, catching the attention of several of the fanboys who wait with liturgical patience for the phone of their dreams to go on sale. It is at this point in the announcement that Samsung abandons the subtleties? to put all the meat on the grill. "Look at the screen… it's huge!", says one of the patient users who keeps his turn at the doors of one of the stores clearly reminiscent of Apple.
"I could not have a Samsung… I am creative," excuses another of the guys who waits for the terminal to be put on sale that is not expressly cited. Given that, one of his colleagues replies: "colleague, you are a barista" (something like a coffee shaker).
Finally, the South Korean firm ends up signing the troupe, making its message clear. "This phone is incredible," concludes one of the owners of the Samsung Galaxy S2, closing the piece with a little note to those who are already used to having to queue to get hold of one of Apple's terminals: "The next big thing is already here ”, something like “ the next pitch is here ”.
It is not the first time that Samsung has sought to tickle Apple in its ads. We still remember when last year, in the middle of the earthquake that caused the so-called AntennaGate (that problem that the iPhone 4 registered at its premiere due to the poor coverage it presented due to the location of its antennas), Samsung promoted the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S emulating precisely the signal icon that the Cupertino phone presents.
