During the day of presentations prior to the celebration of IFA 2010 (which starts in a few hours), the Korean Samsung had conversations with the media, in which it revealed some of its plans in a petit comití¨. One of those talks was held with a representative of the Reuters agency, who recognized what was already an open secret: the company does not have on its agenda the development of a mobile phone prepared to install any of the Symbian versions.
The operating system of Nokia lacks demand enough to draw the attention of Samsung, according to sources said the multinational itself. However, this statement must gravitate around pre- Symbian 3 platforms, the Finnish manufacturer's first really firm response to Android, iOS or BlackBerry OS. Despite everything, Samsung has no plans to abandon the Symbian Foundation (an organization that coordinates the development of Symbian environments from a consultative point of view), so the arrival of Symbian 4 could make you change your mind.
The conclusion of not using Symbian 3 was the consequence of a positive affirmation of copar its production of terminals with devices based on Android and Bada (the operating system developed by Samsung for smartphones and that for the moment is only installed in the Samsung Wave family). It is no surprise that the company ensures these terms, although it is interesting that they do so.
When we were interested in their plans with Windows Phone 7, from Samsung they are not as resounding as with Symbian. In this sense, they declare their interest in launching at least one device ready to be used with the latest version of Microsoft's operating system. From the site unwired view they refine this statement, and place the Samsung Cetus in the center of the pools to be said terminal.
