Samsung presents its first mobile with a 64 megapixel camera

For months, people had been talking about the 64 megapixel camera that Samsung had developed. And today, finally, the first mobile of the Korean manufacturer that includes it has been made official. The Samsung Galaxy A70s is a slight renewal of the Samsung Galaxy A70, introduced earlier this year. Among its novelties we find a triple camera system with a 64 megapixel main sensor. In addition, it has improvements at the software level, as reported by the company.

As for the rest of the features, it practically maintains the views of the previous model. The screen is still 6.7 inches, the front camera maintains 32 MP, it has a huge 4,500 mAh battery and a powerful processor with lots of memory. It will arrive at the end of September, although at the moment it seems that it will only be available in India. Let's get to know its characteristics better.

Samsung ups the ante to 64 megapixels

It is the great novelty of the new model. The Samsung Galaxy A70s swaps out the 32-megapixel main sensor of the earlier this year model for a 64-megapixel one. This one also has f / 1.8 aperture and autofocus system.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A70s comes with Night Mode and Super Steady function. Along with the main sensor we have an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle that offers a 123º viewing angle. The set is completed by a 5 megapixel telephoto lens that allows you to work with the “Live Focus” mode. Furthermore, the A70s camera is capable of recording video in 4K resolution.

There is no shortage of Artificial Intelligence systems that all manufacturers have been using lately. Specifically, there is even the shooting suggestion system, as well as the intelligent scene optimizer.

Slight design changes and nothing new under the hood

Samsung has slightly changed the design of the Galaxy A70s, since it has introduced the geometric design that we have already seen in other models of the Galaxy A family. We also have new colors: Prism Crush Red, Prism Crush White and Prism Crush Black.

Inside we find a Snapdragon 675 processor that is accompanied by 6 or 8 GB of RAM, depending on the version. It also has a 4,500 mAh battery with a 25 W super fast charge.

And as for the screen, the 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with FHD + resolution of 1080 × 2,400 pixels remains. At the top of the screen we see a drop-shaped notch that hides a camera with a 32-megapixel sensor. The set is completed by a sound system with Dolby Atmos technology to provide a 360-degree surround sound experience.

Price and availability

The Samsung Galaxy A70s will be available from September 28, 2019 in India. Its price there will be about 375 euros to change for the 6 GB + 128 GB version and about 400 euros for the variant with 8 GB + 128 GB. We do not know if it will reach Europe.
