After launching the Galaxy Core and the Galaxy Core Plus throughout this year, the South Korean company Samsung seeks to close 2013 with a final terminal corresponding to its Galaxy Core range (that is, the group of high-end smartphones). half). And it is that this morning the new Samsung Galaxy Core Advance has been presented, which becomes a new member of Samsung's mid-range family characterized by offering smartphones with simple specifications at a reasonable price.
Under the guise of a fairly small smartphone (133.3 x 70.5 x 9.7 millimeters and 145 grams of weight) hides a Dual Core processor that works at 1.2 GHz accompanied by a 1 GB RAM. Mentioning some alternative terminals on the market within this quality / price range (see the Nexus S and the HTC HD2), it can be said that the Core Advance is above its rivals since both have a 1 GHz processor.
The Core Advance screen is 4.7 inches and has a WVGA quality resolution (it is the most common resolution among mid-range smartphones). The main camera of the terminal is five megapixels, while the front camera is limited only to a VGA quality that covers the quality necessary to make video calls from the terminal.
These features are backed by a 2,000 mAh battery that can offer eight to ten hours of active terminal operation. In addition, the Galaxy Core Advance has an internal storage of eight gigabytes that can be increased up to 64 GB by means of an external microSD storage card.
Given the specifications of the terminal, the Core Advance will come with version 4.2 Jelly Bean of Android that currently incorporates 99% of smartphones of this type, so that all current applications on the market can be run without any compatibility problem.
As can be seen, the Galaxy Core Advance does not introduce any substantial improvement over its previous versions. For example, despite the fact that it is a mid-range mobile, the ultra-fast 4G LTE Internet connection is missed since in the not too distant future 4G will be the benchmark for mobile Internet and all this type of terminals will be quite obsolete.
Likewise, the Galaxy Core Advance will hit the market in two different versions: one with a dark blue casing (Deep Blue) and the other with a pearl white casing (Pearl White). As can be seen in the attached images above, the terminal incorporates three physical buttons designed to facilitate navigation through the menus for users less used to smartphones.
This announcement has been communicated through a Samsung press release in which the information related to the official price of the Galaxy Core Advance or the expected departure date for the terminal has not been provided (although Samsung has reported that it will arrive to the market next year 2014).
