It is not surprising that companies take advantage of the Christmas season to launch new versions of products that have already been on the market for a few months. While some companies prefer to launch "Pro" or improved versions of some of their smartphones, others, such as Samsung, are more inclined to launch new colors of their flagship. According to new rumors coming from Korea, the company could launch a new model of the Samsung Galaxy S7 in glossy black. Yes, we know what you are thinking.
According to The Korea Herald, the Korean company intends to launch a new Samsung Galaxy S7 in glossy black next December. The launch would occur in time for the Christmas campaign and the new color would give an even brighter look to the already shiny case that the device has thanks to the use of glass throughout the body of the terminal. The new color would accompany the "Coral Blue" color, the exclusive blue color that the company introduced with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. A color that, after the disaster caused by the Samsung phablet, the company announced that it was going to move to the Galaxy S7 line. As we said, a fairly common move in many companies to try to boost sales of a device that has been on the market since March.
Presumably, the glossy black Samsung wants to introduce to the Galaxy S7 lineup will be very similar to the “Jet Black” color that Apple introduced with the iPhone 7. However, the current black color that Samsung equipment has is already quite bright, as we said, due to the use of glass. It is possible that the Korean company is thinking of launching a completely black Samsung Galaxy S7, in the style of the black used in the Note 7. The current model, as you can see in the image, has the edges in silver.
It is logical to think that the idea of Samsung could be, rather than using an even brighter black, to launch a completely black version of the Galaxy S7, borders and, perhaps, even the Samsung logo, included. And we say that it is logical because we already saw this design when the Korean company introduced the color pink in the Galaxy S7 line. We also saw it in the silver model, and even in the gold color, black being the only model with the edges in a different color from the rest of the body of the terminal.
In short, one more way to find new buyers for the next Christmas campaign, one of the times of the year with the highest sales of devices. It remains to be seen if the possible "glossy black" color will reach both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge or, on the contrary, it will be exclusive to the curved model. We recall that currently the Samsung Galaxy S7 is available only in two colors, black and gold. However, the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge can already be found in four colors: black, gold, pink and silver.. Perhaps it would have been more successful to launch a nice bright white color, don't you think?
