After several weeks of calm, the Samsung Galaxy Fold is back in the news. After the controversy about the durability of its flexible screen, recent reports from the Korean newspaper Yonhap affirm that Samsung could have solved the problems of its screen, in such a way that the launch of the device to the market would be imminent. And is that as we saw at the end of April, the terminal had problems related to the resistance of its panel. Now Samsung could have solved this problem by modifying the protective sheet that covered the screen.
The departure of the Samsung Galaxy Fold could be imminent
This was stated by the Yonhap newspaper this very morning. Apparently, the launch of Samsung's flexible mobile could be scheduled for the beginning of next month, as confirmed by some rumors weeks ago.
According to the same Korean newspaper, Samsung would have integrated the same protective sheet that covered the terminal just below the screen. There is also talk of covering the spaces left by said sheet with respect to the edges of the terminal to prevent traces of dust and other types of elements from entering that, as a whole, affect the integrity of the panel.
Recall that from Samsung users were alerted about the importance of the protective sheet. After the new update, it seems that no type of external membrane will be required to protect the screen.
For now, we will have to wait for Samsung to confirm the changes made to the terminal, as well as the possible departure date in early June. In this sense, the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Fold could coincide with that of the Huawei Mate X. Be that as it may, from Samsung it has been announced that any user who has reserved the terminal in the period in which it has been withdrawn from the market can cancel the reservation and obtain a full refund of the amount of the smartphone.
