The South Korean company Samsung has starred in a new rumor in which we have learned that this manufacturer could currently be working on a new mobile that would incorporate a seven-inch screen. Said mobile could respond to the name of Samsung Galaxy W, and seven - inch screen would offer a resolution of 720 pixels. The rumor has even allowed us to know that this terminal would respond to the SM-T2558 code, and its technical specifications would be similar to those that we can currently find in the Samsung Galaxy Mega.
Taking into account the large screen size that this new smartphone would bring, the most logical thing would be to include it within the category of phablets (that is, a hybrid between a mobile and a tablet). Although the information that we have learned through the rumor is quite limited, we have been able to know that it would be a mobile intended mainly for work environments. The reason for this context is due to the fact that this new Samsung Galaxy W would incorporate an interface called Phoneblet UXwhich would basically be designed to offer the possibility of running several applications on the screen simultaneously. After all, the advantage of large screens is the possibility of using several applications at the same time without space being a limitation.
Regarding the technical specifications of this new terminal, everything seems to indicate that inside we will find a quad- core processor running at a clock speed of 1.2 GHz. Along with the processor we will also have a RAM memory with a capacity of 1.5 GigaBytes and an internal storage space that will reach 8 GigaBytes (probably expandable by means of an external microSD memory card). The operating system installed as standard, contrary to what could be expected from a smartphone that will hit the market this year, will be Android in its version of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean(When the normal thing would be to find the most recent version, Android 4.4.2 KitKat).
And data related to the multimedia aspect of this new mobile have also appeared. The main camera sensor will incorporate eight megapixels, while the front camera will come with a sensor two megapixels. Bearing in mind that we are not talking about a terminal for photography, it is more than enough data for a work environment.
Despite the fact that all these technical data have been leaked, the truth is that this new Samsung mobile is a mystery today. If we take a look back in time we will see that Samsung has already launched a smartphone under the name of Samsung Galaxy W (back in 2011), although in this case it was a very simple terminal -but pointer for the time- that it incorporated a 3.7-inch screen.
We have no choice but to wait patiently for more specific leaks to begin to appear to clarify the details regarding this new terminal.
