At this point in the film, is an open secret that the system icons HP, webOS, is seeking help from other companies. And it is that the CEO of the North American company, Leo Apotheker, has commented that conversations have been started with different manufacturers so that they can implement webOS on their computers.
To this must be added that, Jon Rubinstein himself (former CEO of Palm and current head of webOS at HP) has publicly commented that they do not close the doors to any company that is interested and wants to help in the future development and expansion of the operating system. In addition, to further encourage the issue, the name of one of the possible companies that would be interested in such an agreement has already come to light.
Apparently, and according to reports from Bloomberg, Samsung would be one of the companies interested in implementing some of its equipment. But webOS would not be intended for the mobile segment, but would be implemented in the Samsung Galaxy Tab family of tablets. Also, it is not a wild hypothesis. It should be remembered that webOS also wants to be implemented on computers (as Chrome OS), during the next year 2012.
HP with this agreement would gain followers, since the Korean Samsung is one of the most powerful manufacturers in the market thanks, both to its family of smartphones (especially with the arrival of Samsung Galaxy S II), and to being the pioneer in introducing the consumer market the first fully functional tablet with Google's Android icon system.
