The market for mobile devices is very interesting for the imminent 2012. And not only interesting: also convulsive, in the sense that the changes that are foreseen can bring a lot of freshness to the sector. We have already mentioned that Microsoft wants to expand the prospects of the market for tablets with Windows 8 and its approach to desktop platforms (not just the fact that it is a hybrid system, but also for the support they present with the architecture x86 and ARM).
Samsung will have a lot to do with that section. But not only there. The South Korean firm seems that it will also contribute its grain of sand to the open-mindedness with Android. And in fact, we have learned through SammyHub that at the next CES 2012 in Las Vegas (the first electronics fair of the year, and one of the most important to be held) could show the first smartphone with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and Intel processor.
If confirmed this figure materializing in a device becomes presented, Samsung completed a tour with milestones marked by its own technology (expressed in chips Hummingbird and Exynos), as well as systems from other manufacturers, like NVIDIA and Texas Instruments (which provides the OMAP processor of the Samsung Galaxy Note). It would also be the first to see that Intel develops a processor that serves as the foundation for the Android system.
No data is known about the device itself: neither the type of screen, format or multimedia features have transcended, beyond the operating system that would run on said smartphone (this has been filtered, without giving rise to the idea that it is finally a a tablet). What has been signed up is that the North American operator Sprint would be at the center of the bets to trade this device, without saying whether it would be exported to other markets.
