If you know the fame Galaxy A of Samsung you will know that they tend to continue with the lines of the high-end mobiles of the company itself. For example, the Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 inherited many design aspects from the Galaxy S7. The Galaxy A8 from 2018, many others from the Galaxy S8, such as its design, fingerprint reader on the back and of course, the infinite screen. But there is something that we have never seen in a mobile from the Galaxy A family, which is present in the high ranges of Samsung. The screen curves on both sides. Also called the Edge screen. According to the latest rumors, next year's Samsung Galaxy A7 could include it.
According to The Android Soul, a report from a foreign medium reveals Samsung's plans to bring a curved screen on both sides to the Galaxy A7 of 2019. The curvature would be on the two edges of the terminal, as Samsung already does from the Galaxy S6. This curved panel would have OLED technology, with a size of 5.78 inches. The resolution is unknown, but we could be talking about Full HD +. Of course, the screen would incorporate the 18.5: 9 aspect ratio. The report reveals that Samsung is already working on this panel. Production will start from the fourth quarter to be ready in January next year.
A curved screen that will raise the price of the Galaxy A7
Without a doubt, it is a very interesting move for Samsung. Unfortunately, these curved panels have a higher manufacturing price. It could be reflected in the final price of the device. At the moment, we do not know if the Galaxy A8 from 2019 will also incorporate a curved panel, since the Galaxy A7 is not sold officially in some countries, such as, for example, Spain. As always, we will be attentive to the next leaks and details that arise about this device. We remember that it is based on a rumor, and ultimately it might not be true.
