It seems that the trend of this 2019 in what has to do with the security of our devices is going to develop in the way of the on-screen fingerprint sensors. Currently only a few high-end models have such technology. The OnePlus 6T, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, the Honor View 20 and many others are the only ones that have a fingerprint sensor on the screen panel. Samsung will be the next to join this trend with its Galaxy S10. Recent leaks confirm that the company also intends to launch more terminals with on-screen sensors. Specifically, the Samsung Galaxy A 2019.
Up to three Samsung Galaxy A 2019 with on-screen fingerprint sensor
This morning we saw how ETNews, one of the most famous technology websites in South Korea, leaked various details about the Samsung Galaxy S10 X 5G, such as the price and some of its features. No more than an hour has passed since the leak and the same website has published new data in relation to the Samsung Galaxy A of 2019.
According to the original news, the mobile company would be developing up to three new Galaxy A models with technology similar to that implemented in the Galaxy S10 that will be presented over the next month. The models in question are the Galaxy A90, Galaxy A70, and Galaxy A50, three models of upper-middle, middle and lower-middle range that will be presented during the second half of 2019. The source points out that, unlike the Galaxy S10, the The sensor of these three models will be based on the current optical technology that smartphones such as those mentioned above mount instead of the technology through ultrasound that the S10 is supposed to debut and that claims to be much faster and more reliable.
For the rest, the South Korean website has not given more details about these three new models. The only thing we know is that they will have multiple rear cameras, possibly similar to the current A models (Galaxy A9, A8 and A7). It is also known that they will feature a 3D ToF sensor to measure the distance and contour of bodies and improve results in portrait mode. Remember that this same sensor will be integrated into the chassis of some of the versions of the Galaxy S10, so it is to be expected that they will have a similar performance. We will have to wait for new leaks to know its technical characteristics, as well as the rest of the details at the hardware level (processor, RAM, internal storage, screen…) and the price and availability.
