The new Samsung Galaxy Tab with ten inch screen is assumed that it is a reality. It would be a Super AMOLED panel and increase its resolution to 1,200 x 600 pixels. So far, the information that was known so far, which pointed to an increase in dimensions and image quality of the tablet of the Korean company. But the latest data of the device that would see the light in 2011 also point to a decrease, in this case, of the weight of the screen and, by extension, of the total gadget.
As has been learned at a fair dedicated to devices with an ecological vocation held in China, the future model of the Samsung Galaxy Tab would have a screen built from components derived from resin, instead of glass. With this, a drastic weight reduction would be achieved. So much so that, according to data provided by CNN, a ten-inch screen made of resin would weigh about 28 grams, compared to 130 grams that we would find with a glass panel (not counting the backlighting system, of course).
On the other hand, the weight would not be the only thing that would be lightened in case of using resin for glass in the screen of the Samsung Galaxy Tab. It has also been noted that the thickness of the panel also would waist, although the thickness reduction would be minimal, from 0.5 millimeters to 0.44 millimeters.
One piece of information that has not been provided in this regard is whether the use of resins for crystals also reduces the manufacturing costs of the Samsung Galaxy Tab, or if on the contrary it would mean a greater investment by the Korean company in favor of creating a product. more palatable for the user and more ecologically sustainable.
