There is no device that escapes the clutches of attentive technologists. And how could it be otherwise, some features of the new Samsung Galaxy Tab have already been revealed before the tablet is officially presented these next few days at IFA 2010, the German fair that will host major manufacturers such as Samsung itself or LG. And is that the tablet has appeared published in the list of the FCC or Federal Communications Commission, an independent state agency that is responsible for regulating everything related to telecommunications, in addition to granting licenses in the same areas.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab has appeared on stage with the codename "SHW-M180S", nothing to do with the commercial title which will hold from these days at the Berlin Fair. Although we already had evidence that the tablet would work through the Froyo version of Android, we now know that the device will have a much more powerful Wi-Fi than that of the iPad and that of any of those who have come to the fore to compete. According to the FCC, Samsung's Galaxy Tab will feature dual-band 2.4 and 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi, via the 802.11 a / b / g / n protocol. This will allow userstravel at speeds of 150 Mbps.
But there is more. According to the same documents, the Samsung factory would be working on other versions of this Samsung Galaxy Tab. There would be at least two models that would respond to the name of "GT-P1000T" and GT-P1000L ". Both would have dual band Wi-Fi, while one of them would incorporate GSM and HSDPA, the basics to comfortably navigate broadband Internet. Little else is known. Those interested will have to wait for the official presentation that Samsung will offer at IFA 2010. Is very close.
