Samsung is the company that has launched the most tablets on the market. Hence the famous Samsung Galaxy Tab, of which there are models ranging from seven inches to 10 inches. However, the Asian giant has patented a different tablet model to everything it sells so far. It is a dual touch screen tablet with a shell design.
There are models that only have a WiFi connection and others that combine it with 3G telephone networks. This could be one of the characteristics of the Samsung Galaxy Tab, the family of Samsung tablets that were launched back in the year 2010. Since then, the manufacturer has not stopped presenting new models. Recently, the latest equipment expected is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, the older sister of the hybrid Samsung Galaxy Note that is very reminiscent of the current 10-inch model but has been added an S-Pen stylus pointer.
On the other hand, Samsung could integrate the same quad-core processor that it has prepared - and that tomorrow May 3 will be able to be seen in action - for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and that is known under the name of Samsung Exynos 4 Quad.
However, so the Korean manufacturer is not content with having a vast catalog of models under his belt. And the patent of a future model something different from all the others has been discovered. As indicated by Forbes publication, this new model could be aimed at a business or professional audience. The reason? It would be accompanied by a remote control for presentations and that, for greater comfort, fits perfectly on one of the sides of the invention - in true pointer style.
On the other hand, what makes the invention that is reflected in the patent special is that it would be a device with a double screen and that it would be hidden under a shell design. That is, once this Samsung tablet is opened, the user would find a double screen and multi-touch type. It is indicated that both would have a diagonal size that would reach seven inches - nothing is known about their resolution.
Apparently, this project would work in the following way: in addition to having a remote control that would serve to make presentations on larger screens more bearable, the two multi-touch screens would function similar to that of a laptop. In other words, while one screen would reflect a virtual keyboard, the other seven-inch screen would be in charge of displaying the content.
But this idea is not new. To take a recent example, Sony already has on the market a tablet with these features: Sony Tablet P. A small computer with a double touch screen of five inches each and that, if it does not show the virtual keyboard, would help to navigate more comfortable Internet pages.
But although the license exists, it is not synonymous with this dual-screen Samsung Galaxy Tab being carried out. What's more, Samsung has not commented on the matter and, as seen at the Mobile World Congress last February, the intentions continue to flow with more conventional models.
