Security on mobile devices has always been a topic of debate. Even more so when we talk about Android devices. Although it has improved a lot, it may not be enough for some companies. If we would not like to see our private information compromised, imagine the information of an entire company. For this reason, some manufacturers, such as Samsung, launch devices specially prepared for use in companies. The Korean company has launched an Enterprise version of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Samsung Galaxy A8 2018 in Germany.
The Enterprise versions of Samsung models focus on software and security. They are licensed for three years for Knox Configure (Dynamic Edition) and the Enterprise Firmware OTA service.
In addition, on these devices Samsung guarantees up to four years of security updates. These are split between three years of monthly security updates and one year of quarterly security updates. In addition, the administrator of the devices in the company can choose whether these updates are installed or not.
Dual SIM
The Enterprise editions of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy A8 come with a hybrid dual SIM card slot. This allows you to insert two SIM cards or one SIM card and one microSD card.
Samsung is a company committed to user safety. This is demonstrated in the "normal" versions of its terminals, which also include a security plus. With Samsung Knox we have a higher level of security, which begins in the terminal processor itself.
Many of you surely know the secure folder of Samsung terminals. We already saw it in the analysis of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. A kind of separate virtual space is created in the terminal. In this space we can clone apps, for example to use a second WhatsApp or Facebook account. And, on the other hand, we have a safe place to store more delicate applications and files. All protected by Samsung Knox.
By adding biometric security systems, such as fingerprint scanner, iris sensor and facial recognition, we have completely safe terminals for professional use.
As for technical characteristics, we have the same ones that we find in the normal version of the terminals. The Samsung Galaxy S9 Enterprise Edition has been launched in Germany with a price tag of 850 euros. The Samsung Galaxy A8 is priced at 500 euros.
