Samsung is not satisfied with releasing a single model of its flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S4 that goes on sale today in Spain. And it is that, apparently a more resistant version of the original model could reach the market and that it would have already been baptized. Your name? Samsung Galaxy S4 Active.
According to The Wall Street Journal , it would reach markets around the world in July. Its chassis would be resistant to water and dust. And Samsung would have already baptized this more resistant version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 with the last name Active. What is Samsung's intention with this announcement? Reach all audiences. And also offer a product focused on those users who want to take their smartphone on excursions or practice extreme sports. In other words, they want to compete directly with other companies that already offer equipment of this type. Perhaps the most famous case would be that of Sony and its Xperia Z.
No technical characteristics have been leaked, but the most logical move would be to update only its chassis to make it resistant and hermetic to possible leaks of dust or liquids and continue with the configuration offered by the original model: five-inch Full HD screen, quad processor cores ”” at least in Spain ””, two GigaBytes RAM and the latest Google icons, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with the latest Samsung TouchWiz Nature UX 2.0 custom layer. However, none of these data have been confirmed. Not even the launch date that the famous American newspaper is considering.
Meanwhile, the possibility that this presentation is double is also pointed out. Why? Because another of the teams that sound for the month of July is the reduced version, Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. Therefore, the Korean company would offer three aspects of the same advanced mobile: the conventional model for customers who want a powerful terminal for everything; the model for the most adventurous clients; and finally, the mini version for those customers who do not need as much power.
And what would this latest version offer? For starters, a 4.3-inch screen with qHD resolution (960 x 540 pixels), a quad-core processor ”” as reported by a Dutch portal ””, an eight-megapixel camera and eight-Gigabyte memory expandable through cards MicroSD of 64 GB ?. And, of course, with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean as the protagonist and making it clear that the company intends to be one of the brands that has the most updated terminals.
What's more, the user experience of its customers is one of the priorities of the Asian giant. And this has been demonstrated with the latest technology that it has presented and that will be known as Samsung SideSync, which aims to offer perfect synchronization between Android phones and Windows computers, the latter joining the ATIV family.
