Before receiving Android 4.0, Samsung Galaxy S2 -the current flagship of the manufacturer-, must host some more update of Android Gingerbread. That is why in Mexico a new version of the operating system that has the advanced mobile installed has already been released, reaching version Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread.
However, in Spain, for the moment and depending on the operator, some customers can enjoy the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread version. However, the update that was released first in South America is expected to reach the remaining markets in the coming weeks as well.
With Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread, Samsung fixes some security problems from previous versions. To be more exact, Samsung improves the lock screen of Samsung Galaxy S2. On the other hand, the interface of the camera application undergoes some changes, as well as the start-up of the terminal from scratch. That is, since the power button is pressed, with this update Samsung Galaxy S2 will turn on much faster.
Finally, the manufacturer will also improve the speed of the terminal's 3G connection in addition to fixing some bugs of the previous versions. For the rest, this update will reach the different terminals around the world depending on whether it has been acquired subsidized by an operator or has been purchased on the free market. Although it would also be very possible, that after confirmation by the manufacturer, Samsung Galaxy S2 received Android 4.0 directly and start a new stage.
