The Samsung Galaxy S10 do not arrive alone. The company has released a 'Lite' version of the Samsung Galaxy S10. The Samsung Galaxy S10e comes with a more compact design, dual main camera, widescreen display and an eight-core Exynos processor. All this with a cheaper price than its older brothers. We have already been able to test this terminal and we will tell you what we think.
A major change in design
The Samsung Galaxy S10e radically changes its design. The South Korean company continues to bet on glass as the main material. We see it on the back, as well as on the front. All this with aluminum frames. The double camera is in the center and accompanied by an LED flash and the respective sensors and scanners. There is no trace of a fingerprint reader on the rear. It's on the side, in the upper area. A somewhat strange position, but fortunately, the dimensions allow the reader to find it easily. It is comfortable and with a very fast operation.
Samsung still doesn't add a screen notch. The terminal frames are minimal, but a camera has been added directly on the screen. It's on the right side, in the upper area. While it is true that the location of the camera is centered with the notification bar, this makes the thickness somewhat more pronounced. Apps have no problem adapting to this camera. With minimal bezels at the bottom, the keypad sits directly on the screen.
The Samsung Galaxy S10e arrives with a USB C connection at the bottom. Right next to it, the main speaker and the headphone jack. The keypad is on the right side. On the left, the volume button and a button dedicated to Bixby, Samsung's virtual assistant that is now available in Spanish. It will be available from March 8 at a price of 760 euros.

Without sacrificing on performance
The Samsung Galaxy S10e doesn't sacrifice on performance. The terminal has an Exynos processor, an eight-core chip accompanied by an ARM Mali G76 MP12 GPU. It is accompanied by 6 or 8 GB of RAM, as well as 128 GB of internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy S10e has the same processor as the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 + models. In this case, with up to 8 GB of RAM.
To the processor we add a 5.8-inch screen with QHD + resolution. A panel that does not have a double curved screen, but does have AMOLED technology. The panel is bright and very colorful. The Galaxy S10e also has Android 9.0 Pie and One UI, the new layer that has artificial intelligence. It is capable of recognizing which applications we use and at what exact time so that, minutes before we are going to open it, it launches the application.
Dual main camera and one on screen
The in-screen camera of the Samsung Galaxy S10e
The double camera reaches the cheapest terminal of the Galaxy S10. It has a 12 megapixel main sensor, with Dual Pixel technology and focal length f / 1.5 and f / 2.4. The second sensor is a wide angle lens, with a resolution of up to 16 megapixels and an f / 2.2 lens. the second lens will allow us to take panoramic photographs, with a much wider angle than the main sensor. The dual camera setup also features the popular blur mode. In addition, we can adjust the degree of bokeh effect in real time or through the camera application.
The lens of the Samsung Galaxy S10e also has artificial intelligence. It recognizes objects and allows the best parameters to be adjusted automatically. It also detects objects through Bixby and allows us to buy them or learn information about them.
The differences between the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 +
What differences are there between the most powerful models? Mainly on the screen. The Samsung Galaxy S10e has a more compact panel than the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 +. Also, the Samsung Galaxy S10e does not have a curved screen. Another difference is in the main camera. The Lite model of the Galaxy S10e has a dual main sensor, while the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 + have a triple main camera. In the case of the Plus model, the front camera is dual.
Finally, autonomy. Of course, the 'e' model is much more compact and has a smaller screen. Therefore, it is smaller than the other two models.
Conclusions, price and availability
We do not know the price and availability of the Samsung Galaxy S10e. We know that it will be the cheapest of the new Galaxy S10 family. It is also a clear competitor to Apple's iPhone XR. It is still too early to know if Samsung will take the budget high-end to its territory. We know that it is here to stay, and a clear example is the Galaxy Tab S5e, presented just a few days ago. Apple with its iPhone XR has not done very well. Without a doubt, the S10e model is a very interesting option for those users who are looking for a terminal with powerful features at a much cheaper price. 760 euros.
