Apparently, Samsung does not want to sit idly by when updating its first Android devices: Samsung Galaxy S and Samsung Galaxy Tab. What's more, the manufacturer could have reconsidered updating both terminals to the latest version of Google's mobile platform: the one that they have christened Android 4.0.
However, the first mobile of the Galaxy family could not receive Android 4.0 and, in return, it would receive a special update that would be installed on its current Gingerbread version. According to a Korean media outlet, the manufacturer could be considering the possibility of launching a " Value Pack ". These types of updates try to improve the user experience by porting features from Android 4.0 to Android 2.3 but without having to update.
For example, it is said that Samsung Galaxy S could receive improvements in Internet browsing, new widgets, multitasking and more contributions that would make the smartphone renew enough to keep users happy. On the other hand, nothing has been said about the first generation of tablets from the Korean giant.
It should be remembered that Samsung has not confirmed anything about all this information and that it is very possible that it is trying to bring a full version to its Galaxy S. It is also true that the independent developer community is already working on porting a customized version and based on in the original version released a few days ago for the Samsung Nexus S, the second generation of official Google phones.
