Samsung Galaxy S and iPhone 4 have hit 2010. These two touch phones have focused much of the attention of the year, as far as smartphones are concerned (with the permission of the Nokia N8, which won the Digital01 Award for the mobile with the best camera, while the Korean terminal took the of the mobile with the best screen). That being the case, can you imagine a phone that is halfway between the two ? Well, this Samsung S5830 could be said device.
They are already calling it the Samsung Galaxy S Mini, and it is no coincidence. We are facing a mobile that could be released at the Mobile World Congres 2011 in Barcelona, and that has the peculiarity of bringing together many of the advantages of the original Samsung Galaxy S in a more compact design that is highly reminiscent of the iPhone 4. At the moment, the launch date and the possible price of this mysterious phone are unknown.
Just take a look at the Samsung S5830 to see that, indeed, the visual finish of the terminal is a first cousin of the iPhone 4, although without pretending to be so thin. The front is almost identical, although the home button is square, rather than round. The information wave of this device, recently filtered, is still somewhat scarce. The Chinese site Teena ensures that the screen resolution is 480 x 320 pixels, which leads to raise a diagonal of between 3.2 and 3.5 inches.
The main camera of the Samsung S5830 will be five megapixels. In addition, it will include an LED flash. The connections initially proposed for this mobile go through the classic ones: 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS, as well as Bluetooth 3.0 and microUSB. It will also have a slot for MicroSD memory cards. It is striking that according to Phone Arena, this mobile will be equipped with Android 2.2.1 as standard, and not with Android 2.3, although this seems to change by the time the terminal hits stores.
