The worthy successor of the Samsung Galaxy S is in the crosshairs of mobile phone fans with two questions that do not go out of their heads: when? and above all how much? From a Swiss store they could have answered both questions, although a very different thing is that in the rest of Europe it is answered in the same way.
And it is that from the Digitec website they have put a price on the Samsung Galaxy S II that amounts to about 550 euros, at the current exchange rate, making this powerful touch mobile with Android 2.3 Gingerbread can be purchased from next May. Of course, the terminal is already available so that Swiss users who wish to can pre-book it and be the first to have it in their hands. Given this, another question should be asked: will the price and launch date be similar in other markets?
In the United Kingdom, the Samsung Galaxy S II has also been seen, and although the launch is anticipated there compared to the Swiss premiere, the price also changes. And it is that as we have learned, the Play.com store offers it for about (hold on) 760 euros, at the current rate, still dispatching units from next March 31.
As we told you last week, the Samsung Galaxy S II is the successor to the best-selling high-end smartphone from the Korean manufacturer, with more than ten million terminals in 2010 alone. This time around, the second edition has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen. The image quality is the best that a terminal of the company has shown, and also, in a very comfortable and wide format that will show the contents with great sharpness and excellent levels of brightness and color.
