Samsung Galaxy S updates hit the gas. We have already told you on occasion that Samsung's still star mobile (in the absence of its new version being commercially released) has planned to upgrade to the latest edition of Google's operating system this month. In this way, being already in the equator of March, it seems evident that it will be in the second fortnight when Android 2.3 Gingerbread arrives on the Samsung Galaxy S.
Well, it won't be the only update. At the end of this week, specifically on Sunday March 20, a previous update is scheduled, which would allow users of the free Samsung Galaxy S to update their terminals with Android 2.2.1 FroYo, an improved version of the previous platform, which would precede, on Wednesday, March 30, the Gingerbread update.
Through the YouMobile blog, they echo the statement made by Samsung Romania through their Facebook profile, where they would confirm this information. The update in both cases, as we say, focuses on the Samsung Galaxy S that have been purchased without the SIM locked system or subjected to an operator firmware. In those cases, we will have to wait irretrievably until each company releases the official update.
As in previous occasions, the update must be done through the Samsung Kies desktop application, available for download from the manufacturer's website. If you have a terminal in the conditions set out above, when connecting the Samsung Galaxy S to the computer using Samsung Kies (either via USB or with the Kies Air application, which can be obtained in the Android Market or in Samsung Apps) and consult the updates, an improvement should appear next Sunday, March 20, and another on the penultimate day of the month, March 30.
