Samsung Galaxy A20
We climbed a small step to find the Samsung Galaxy A20. This time we have a device with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen and HD + resolution. As for the photographic section, we find a main camera with two sensors, one of them wide angle, 13 + 5 megapixels with focal aperture f / 1.9 and f / 2.2 respectively. The front camera has 8 megapixels and a focal aperture of f / 2.0. It carries an Exynos 7884 processor with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The battery that we find is 4,000 mAh, being one of its strengths. We have in this device Android 9 Pie and FM radio in addition to an NFC connection for mobile payments. Samsung Galaxy A20e
We could qualify the Samsung Galaxy A20e as the little brother of the previous named terminal. Samsung Galaxy A30
We continue. It is the turn of the Samsung Galaxy A30, a terminal with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen and Full HD + resolution. It is the first in the mid-range to have Full HD + resolution, so the jump is important. The screen design is common to the entire A range, infinite with a drop-shaped notch and a 19.5: 9 ratio. On the side of the cameras we have a double rear sensor of 16 + 5 megapixels, the second of them wide angle, with focal aperture f / 1.7 and f / 2.2 respectively. The front camera is 16 megapixels and has an f / 2.0 focal aperture.
Its processor is the Exynos 7904 with two different models of RAM and internal storage: 3/32 and 4/64 respectively. Its battery is impressive, 4,000 mAh, and we have Android 9 Pie installed as standard. Furthermore, its main features are the FM radio and the NFC connection for mobile payments. This is the first terminal in the A range to have a USB Type-C connection. Available on Amazon at a price of 261.44 euros, shipping costs included. A terminal for users who want a little more power compared to their previous models.
Samsung Galaxy A40
The Samsung Galaxy A4o is a device with a 5.9-inch Super AMOLED screen and Full HD + resolution. It has a double main camera of 16 and 5 megapixels, the latter wide angle and with a focal aperture f / 1.7 and f / 2.2 respectively. As for the processor that it carries, we find exactly the same as the Samsung Galaxy A30, but this time accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Its battery is significantly lower than that of the previous model, finding us with a 3,100 mAh battery. It has, of course, Android 9 Pie, NFC connection, FM radio and USB Type C. You can find it on Amazon at the price of 261.12 euros, shipping costs included in the only version available in Spain with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.This terminal is indicated for more demanding users and who do not pay too much attention to the battery life, which is not bad, but pales in comparison to other terminals with 4,000 mAh batteries.
Samsung Galaxy A50
We reached the middle of the list with one of the most balanced and interesting terminals in terms of value for money of the entire Samsung mid-range. It is the Samsung Galaxy A50, a device that carries a 6.4-inch Super Amoled screen and Full HD + resolution. We notice in this terminal a big jump in the processor section, as we go to the Exynos 9610 model, built in 10 nanometers and accompanied by two versions of RAM, 4 and 6 GB and two types of storage, 64 and 128 GB.
We now look at the photographic section. We have a triple camera of 25, 8 and 5 megapixels, taking into account that the last two act as a wide-angle and depth sensor, respectively. The selfie camera that we have in this smartphone has no less than 25 megapixels and a focal aperture f / 2.0. Its technical data sheet is completed by a 4,000 mAh battery, NFC, FM radio and USB Type C connection. This terminal can be yours in the Amazon store at a price of 300 euros. The terminal with the best value for money on the list, for balanced users and photography lovers and with a price on Amazon of 350 euros.
Samsung Galaxy A60
The Samsung Galaxy A60 has not yet been officially presented, so we will move this time within the rumors and conjectures. Apparently, we will find a terminal with a 6.3-inch Super Amoled screen and Full HD + resolution. In the photographic section we would again find a triple photographic sensor made up of a 16 megapixel main lens and phase detection autofocus, an 8 megapixel telephoto lens and a 5 megapixel depth sensor and f / 2.2 focal aperture.
As for the processor, it is not very well known which one it will carry, rumored that it could have a Snapdragon 675 with a clock speed of 2 GHz and two different versions of RAM and storage, 6/64 and 8/128 respectively. Its battery would be 3,410 mAh, it will have Android 9 Pie, NFC connection and USB Type C. No sign of FM radio.
Samsung Galaxy A70
A terminal for those who like large screens, because in this Samsung Galaxy A70 we go up to 6.7 inches. The panel is again Super Amoled and has a Full HD + resolution with a drop-shaped notch, like the entire A range. Apparently, in this terminal we will also see we have the Snapdragon 675 processor although it is not officially confirmed, accompanied by 6 GB of memory RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
In the photographic section we see a triple sensor composed of a 32 megapixel main lens, focal aperture f / 1.7 and phase detection autofocus, wide-angle sensor with f / 2.2 aperture and depth sensor with f / 2.2 aperture. Its battery is even larger than that of previous terminals, 4,500 mAh and we will again have Android 9 Pie, NFC connection, USB Type C and, for the first time, a fingerprint sensor under the screen. For lovers of mobile phones that last and last and have a triple camera to experiment with photography.
Samsung Galaxy A80
And we completely close this long walk through the extensive and renewed Samsung mid-range with the top of the list, the Samsung Galaxy A80. The Korean brand has wanted to leave no excuses to the user who wanted to find a model that exactly fit their needs and for this in 2019 it will show no less than 9 terminals, the Samsung Galaxy A80 being one of its best exponents. In this case we are going to stop a little longer than in the rest of the previous terminals because it is well worth it, since it houses some ingenious news that have caught us all by surprise.
This terminal has a 6.7-inch Super Amoled screen, ideal for those who consume multimedia content. The resolution of the panel is Full HD + and it is built in glass, both the back and the front, and the edges in aluminum. Its dimensions are 165.2 x 76.5 x 9.3 millimeters. The great novelty of this Samsung Galaxy A80 is that it lacks a notch, being the first all-screen to launch the Korean brand. So without a front notch, where do we have the front camera? Samsung has pulled out of its sleeve a new triple 'rotating' camera (see attached video). That is, we have a mobile with a sliding part that lets you see the rear camera and it turns on itself acting as a front camera.
This triple photographic sensor is composed of a 48 megapixel main lens, focal aperture f / 2.0 and phase detection autofocus, a secondary wide-angle sensor with focal aperture f / 2.2 and a third 3D camera to measure depth. And we remember that this same triple sensor acts as a front camera.
In the section of connectivity we have NFC, FM radio, USB Type C and fingerprint sensor under the screen. Its battery is 3,700 mAh and we find the latest Android 9 Pie version installed as standard. This new Samsung device will go on sale on May 29 at a price of 650 euros.
Which of all these devices from the Samsung Galaxy A range do you prefer? As you have seen, each of these terminals are adapted to any of the user's needs. With this move, Samsung has taken over the mid-range of its catalog. The future will tell how many will have renewal and which ones will remain on the way.
