Samsung continues with the wave of security updates, in order to guarantee the protection of its devices and its users. Google's monthly security patches are a very good opportunity to cover all those vulnerabilities that can seriously affect your device. Today, it is the company's flagship that receives the monthly security patch. We talk about the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and, of course, the December patch.
The update of this new security patch has already begun to be rolled out in the different countries. Not only does it include the December security patch, which fixes various vulnerabilities and protects against others. You also get a new, more secure VPN feature, as well as new tweaks to the Live Focus feature. This function is what has been translated into Spanish as Dynamic Focus. And it is the one that serves to create blur effects in the image. Unsurprisingly, this update does not include Android 8.0 Oreo, although the update has already been leaked, and can be downloaded unofficially.
How to update the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with the December patch
The update is slowly reaching users in France. Most likely, in the next few days or weeks, the update will be available to all users. If you have the automatic update option activated, you will only have to connect to a stable Wi-Fi network, and wait for the update to skip. Otherwise, you must go to Settings and System Update. There, check if there are any new updates available for download. As always, remember to have a minimum of 50 percent battery. You can also leave it charging during download and installation. On the other hand, have enough space in the internal storage to be able to apply the download. Although this is not a very large update, it is also advisable to take a backup. The device will need to restart and you may lose your data.
