Samsung Galaxy Note 2, along with the Samsung Galaxy S3, are waiting to receive the latest version of the Internet giant's icons. However, the new features as they arrive, the Korean company has released a new update for its latest hybrid. The version of the Google platform has not changed, although an attempt has been made to optimize, even more, all the operation leaving this smartphone ready for the arrival of Android 4.2.
The update does not reach 60 MB in weight. And the final version of Android that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has installed does not change either: it will continue to be Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, the same version that has another of the best-selling equipment of the Korean manufacturer, the Samsung Galaxy S3, installed. While the improvements arrive, Samsung has wanted to take the opportunity to launch a new update for its latest hybrid and improve some aspects such as battery consumption. Or, fix some stability glitches. Of course, without giving too many explanations.
Even being one of the devices with the best autonomy on the market ”” it manages to reach two days depending on the use ””, there have been isolated cases in which users have noticed an increase in energy consumption with the latest updates. Hence, the company wanted to heal itself and fix this aspect.
This latest update can be downloaded through Samsung Kies ”” connecting the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to the computer ””, or through a FOTA update ”” without the need for cables ””. Of course, in the latter case it is advisable to download connected to a WiFi network and with a battery level of at least 50 percent. What's more, this update is already available in Spain.
On the other hand, this may be the prelude to the arrival of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Although Samsung has not yet put any official date on the table. Now, with the new platform being tested "" that has been known for a few months "", and with the Samsung Galaxy S4 on the market, the user can get an idea of what to expect with the next update.
The first thing that will arrive at the terminal is the new version of the Samsung TouchWiz user interface that was released with the current first sword, and that the other teams in the family will also adopt. On the other hand, some of the new functions will reach other terminals. What's more, last March, one of the company executives assured in an interview that the improvements would come, as long as they didn't use hardware; that is: more power than declared.
