This year no brand is going to save itself from the notch, notch, burr or whatever you want to call the drop that hangs from the upper frame of the screen. Until now, few were the companies that resisted taking out mobile phones with the aforementioned feature. Samsung was one of them, and it seems that it will stop being that way soon. Specifically, with the Samsung Galaxy M2, the next South Korean terminal that is expected to be presented in late December or early January.
This will be the Samsung Galaxy M2, Samsung's first with a notch
Much has been said about the supposed Samsung Galaxy M2 in recent days. Yesterday we were able to know, thanks to the leak of a benchmark on the Geekbench website, part of its technical specifications and its performance in numbers. Now the Phone Arena page publishes its well-known renders of the device based on the different leaks.
In the images of the aforementioned website you can see how the Galaxy M2 will have a notch in one of the screen frames. Some rumors claimed that the aforementioned notch would be located on one of the sides of the body of the device. It seems that finally it will not be like that, opting for a more conventional and conservative situation with respect to other competing models. It will be necessary to see how the system based on Samsung Experience 10 (or Samsung One UI) adapts to this burr, as we remember that until today Samsung does not have any model with such a design.
The last detail that catches our attention in the captures is the integration of a flat panel. Just two days ago we saw how it was announced that the Galaxy S10 would have a version with a flat screen, so it would not be unreasonable for Samsung to stop opting for this type of panel to reduce costs.
Possible features of the Samsung Galaxy M2
Regarding the rest of the aspects in the field of design, no big news is expected. A lower frame much smaller than other phones of the same brand and a position of the fingerprint sensor on the back of the device. In addition to this, it is expected to have three rear cameras, something that is already becoming common in Samsung phones.
For the rest, it is known that the Samsung Galaxy M2 will come with an Exynos 7885 processor, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD cards. The characteristics of its screen are expected to be identical to that of other mobiles such as the Samsung Galaxy A7 or A9: Full HD + resolution, size around 6 inches and AMOLED technology.
