In June 2015 the Samsung company introduced the Samsung Galaxy J7 which was later updated with the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016. Apparently, the company could be working on a new improved variant of this model, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime. The new terminal would improve this year's model in the screen, the RAM, the front camera and even add a fingerprint reader. In short, a new terminal from the Koreans destined to offer good features in the mid-range. However, we are going to review what the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime can offer us.
The leaked information consists of a table of characteristics comparing the new terminal with the Samsung Galaxy J7 that we currently have on the market. In addition to the technical specifications, the leak also includes some images of the new terminal. If they are real (and everything seems to indicate that they are), the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime will maintain the same design as the current model.
A very “Samsung-style” design , that is, a terminal with a rounded home button flanked by two more buttons, one for Back and the other for opening Recent Applications. The screen will practically reach the edges and the typical volume and lock buttons will be located on the sides, in addition to the holes for the SIM card and the microSD memory card.
Regarding the technical characteristics, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime would have a 5.5-inch screen with Super AMOLED technology, but this time with a Full HD resolution of 1,920 í— 1,080 pixels, compared to the HD resolution of 720 í— 1,280 pixels. of the current model. The processor would remain the same, an Exynos 7870 running at 1.6 GHz or a Snapdragon 615 running at 1.5 GHz, depending on the market. Both processors offer eight cores. Accompanying this processor we would have 3 GB of RAM memory, which is an increase over the current model, which offers 2 GB. We would also see an increase in storage capacity, going from the 16 GB of the current model to the 32 GB that the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is said to have.
In the opinion Samsung could keep the same main chamber of the current model, ie, a sensor of 13 megapixels with aperture f / 1.9 that comes with a LED flash. What I would improve is the front camera, from the current sensor offers 5 megapixel resolution, a sensor with 8 megapixels and aperture f / 1.9, also accompanied by an LED flash. This change would greatly improve selfie taking.
The last of the great news that we could see in the supposed Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is the incorporation of a fingerprint reader. This reader would be located under the start button on the front, as is customary in the Korean company's terminals. The capacity of the battery would remain at 3,300 milliamps, a fairly acceptable capacity in relation to the rest of the components that the terminal incorporates. The operating system, of course, would be the latest version of Google's system, Android 6 Marshmallow.
Although, as you have been able to see, all the characteristics and images of the terminal have been filtered, we still do not have an official presentation date and no price. The Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 currently sells for around 300 euros, so we assume that the new model will be somewhat more expensive.
